How AVENTAS Built a Research-Based BD Strategy

AVENTAS, a Prague-based law firm, engaged us to design a research-driven marketing and business development framework. The project focused on clarifying market positioning, competitors, and defining high-potential client personas. The result was a unified strategy connecting content and communication — creating a clearer market identity and measurable business outcomes.

In a legal market increasingly shaped by competition and client sophistication, AVENTAS sought to elevate its strategic approach to marketing and business development. The firm, known for its expertise in corporate, commercial, and regulatory law has consistently positioned itself as a legal partner with a strong economic and business perspective.

When AVENTAS approached AgiLawyer, the objective was to move beyond traditional communication and establish a data-driven, structured framework that would connect marketing, client development, and business growth.

Research as the Strategic Foundation 

The project began with extensive research to map AVENTAS’s position within the Czech legal market. We analyzed the firm’s core service areas, assessing which practice lines offered the strongest differentiation potential and business scalability.

A comparative competitor analysis provided a broader view of the firm’s operating landscape —revealing how peer firms communicate value, structure their services, and position themselves to clients. This helped identify where AVENTAS could credibly strengthen its narrative and visibility.

Parallel to this, we examined client behavior patterns — how business clients identify, evaluate, and engage legal advisors. These insights formed the foundation for defining client personas and strategic messaging that reflects how real clients make purchasing decisions in legal services.

Defining and Prioritizing Client Personas 

Using the research findings, we developed structured client personas representing AVENTAS’s typical and potential client groups. Each persona captured both business and behavioral characteristics — such as sector focus, decision-making style, and trust drivers.

In collaboration with AVENTAS’s leadership team, we assessed the business potential of each segment, aligning marketing priorities with commercial objectives. This process enabled the firm to focus its efforts on clients and industries offering the greatest long-term growth and relationship opportunities.

Designing an Integrated Marketing and BD Strategy 

The resulting strategy connected marketing, content, and business development under one consistent framework.

The content strategy was refined to emphasize AVENTAS’s strengths — particularly its combination of legal precision and business insight. Rather than listing services, communication was reoriented toward demonstrating practical understanding of client challenges, such as corporate structuring, compliance, and regulatory risk management.

The business development component ensured that marketing initiatives translated into measurable outcomes. Clear objectives and KPIs were defined for brand visibility, client engagement, and new business generation.

Finally, AVENTAS’s digital presence, including its website and online communication, was reviewed to ensure consistency, clarity, and alignment with the firm’s refined positioning.

Implementation and Impact 

Implementation followed an iterative, data-driven process. Content and campaign performance were regularly measured against defined metrics, enabling continuous adjustment and optimization.

The new framework allowed AVENTAS to achieve several outcomes:

  • clearer and more consistent market identity,
  • improved visibility and engagement across digital channels, and
  • stronger alignment between marketing activity and business development goals.

Beyond tactical results, the collaboration introduced a lasting strategic structure that AVENTAS can continue to build upon — integrating marketing into the firm’s broader business planning and growth efforts.
