On 16 April 2024, AgiLawyer delivered the “Lawyers@Work: AI & Business Development in a Law Firm” workshop at the Faculty of Law, Masaryk University in Brno. The program equipped future legal professionals with practical skills in agility, technology, and client engagement. Across three interactive modules, participants explored how agile thinking, LegalTech, and effective communication are shaping the legal careers of tomorrow.

At this engaging AgiLawyer session, students joined a journey into the future of law—where adaptability, technology, and client-centered thinking converge to redefine legal careers.

1. Agility in Legal Practice

Attendees first explored the power of agile methods—learning how to respond quickly and collaboratively to change in legal environments. The session highlighted how agile mindsets not only streamline internal processes but also elevate communication across teams and clients. By the end of this module, participants gained actionable ideas for embedding adaptability into their own practice.

2. LegalTech & AI: The Future is Now

Next, the workshop delved into the transformative role of LegalTech and AI in law. Participants saw how technology is shifting from a novelty to a fundamental tool—streamlining research, automating document review, and opening up entirely new services. This block equipped future lawyers with a clear understanding of how to leverage tech for efficiency and innovation.

3. Business Development & Marketing for Lawyers

The final segment emphasized that legal expertise must be paired with market awareness and strategic communication. Participants explored how thoughtful personal branding and client engagement extend a lawyer’s reach—earning trust, and generating new opportunities. The lesson was clear: legal acumen is enriched when complemented by entrepreneurial thinking.

This session brought three essential themes into one experience—agile practice, tech innovation, and business acumen—offering a holistic view of modern legal excellence. Students walked away not just inspired, but equipped with real-world frameworks to start shaping their careers with foresight and confidence.
